At Samsung, data is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build reliable and performant systems that improve data storage we need experienced DevOps Engineers. They are responsible for deploying infrastructure updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our stakeholders needs. This role is a key role in our Azure cloud database infrastructure, and success can only be achieved through confidence with cloud technologies.

Primary skills:

Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
Understanding the infrastructure and security needs of stakeholders and conveying this to engineers and other technical teams
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
Supporting and helping inform the development of the Data Platform, ensuring appropriate ROI
Enforcing the data design and standards of the Data Platform and it’s artefacts
Deploy updates and fixes
Perform root cause analysis for production errors
Investigate and resolve technical issues
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
A thorough knowledge of Cloud Solution Architecture, especially Azure
A thorough knowledge of Azure Containerization and Azure Subscriptions
System Setup and Integration
Build and Release Management using Azure DevOps - including pipelines and continuous-integration
Experience of the Microsoft Enterprise Scale reference architecture in relation to Azure Data Analytics (ADF, Databricks, Delta Lake, Purview)
Knowledge of Azure network and security design
Experience in application/system architecture, building/running scalable solutions on the Azure platform
Integration methods such as Azure Integration Services
Knowledge of full Cloud stack (IaaS, PaaS, Saas) and Infrastructure as a Code deployments
Preferred Skills:

Experience developing and supporting cloud architecture for a large corporation
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
Independent, able to work efficiently with little supervision and with a high degree of self-motivation
Excellent inter-personal, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
