Job description
Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their small team. Searching for a Technical Project Manager with a solid experience with managing projects and human resources, working in an international environment, remote work (telecommuting) who can collaborate well with IT technical staff as well as with the management. Experience with IT in Software Development environment is a must. Strong Business Analytical skills required to be able to translate business requirements gathered during business and cross-team meetings into technical requirements. Need experience managing, guiding Software Development teams. Excellent communication skills required. Need a person happy to work 100% remote in an international team with ability to offer overlap for 8:00 AM PST - 12:00 PM (noon) PST time range.
The company is a US-based manufacturer of innovative medical devices including high implantable contact lenses. They have a bunch of software products being developed by a few separate teams meant for eye and contact lenses precise measurements, contact lens design, engineering, manufacturing, inventory, sales and production.
The client is looking for a person that would be happy to work remotely in the European time zone (CEST) as a member of the existing team. While the job offers 100% remote work opportunity and time flexibility, there is a requirement to provide some an overlap to Pacific Time working hours (from 8:00 AM Pacific Time - till noon Pacific Time).
100% remote full-time job, 12 months contract with a possibility for an extension and long term work for the right talent, possibility to switch to full-time in the future.
Hourly rate: 35 US Dollars / hour (paid in Polish Zloty: 140 / hour) with a full time work (~ 40 hours / week), B2B Contract.
Requirements:
- Skills and experience in Project Management of Software Products with an experience working in international teams. Ability to deal with management of multiple software development projects in parallel.
- Must have experience in managing and guiding teams of Software Engineers; previous experience as a Team Lead or Project Manager is a must.
- Experience with agile Project Management methodologies. Experience with other types of methodologies / approaches to project management is desirable.
- Skills in software engineering to be able to understand processes, technologies, frameworks, programming languages, discuss topics like performance, security, maintainability, architectural design. Preferably hands-on software engineering skills combined with software architecture skills; up to date with the latest version of technologies.
- Experience with cloud technologies (primarily Microsoft Azure, or Amazon AWS), databases, ability to read source code, understand web development, automation (DevOps), containerization technologies.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for Project Management.
- Preference for technical education in IT (Computer Science or related, at least BSc, preferable MSc), or a very strong professional experience track record working as a Technical Team Lead and/or Project Manager in technical teams is a must.
- Experience with writing Project Documentation, Technical Documentation in English. Experience working with different types of project documentation including Project Requirements Documentation, Verification, Validation, different types of Project Management Diagrams, Modelling of Business Processes.
- Fluent command of English language: both written and spoken.
- Good problem-solving skills, proactive problem solver and communicator happy to liaise with both IT people (software engineers, quality assurers) as well as Business Managers.
- Good communication skills, a team player who can work both independently as well as a part of a team
- Nice to have: Any certifications in Project Management is a plus (not required).
