For an important production site in Eastern Germany, we are seeking an experienced and motivated leadership personality to significantly contribute to the optimization of production processes and the development of the team:

Production Area Manager (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for the production area with a strong focus on quality and output optimization
• Lead a production area comprising approximately 7 direct reports and over 50 team members, ensuring seamless operations across multiple production lines
• Analyzing and improving processes, minimizing waste and costs, and ensuring adherence to standards and quality guidelines
• Contribute to investment planning and long-term strategic decisions, execute management directives and track performance against set objectives
• Handling technical issues, optimizing machine settings, and creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Responsibility for occupational safety, environmental standards and cleanliness, particularly in a 24/7 continuous production environment

Employer requirements

• Degree in process engineering, wood technology, materials science, mechanical engineering or chemistry; alternatively, equivalent qualifications as a technician or master craftsman
• Several years of experience in a production environment, ideally in the wood or paper industry
• Strong leadership personality with passion for innovation, assertiveness and resilience in challenging situations
• Proficient German and English skills
