How to register in a district labour office?

A person willing to register as a jobseeker may register at one or more district labour offices that he/she chooses.

Online booking of the registration date (pre-registration)

There is a possibility of providing the required information through the electronic registration system, accessible at: praca.gov.pl

Then the labour office sets the date of personal appearance at the district labour office, within 7 working days from the date of pre-registration via the online-system, in order to provide all required documents and register at the district labour office. In case the person does not appear at the labour office on the indicated day, the information provided is deleted from the system of public employment services.

This procedure allows to book the date of the registration. The aim is mainly to save time  the unemployed usually spend at the labour office waiting for the registration.

Remember!

The status of the job seeker may be acquired on the date of your appearance at the labour office and signing the required documents. It is also required that you make a statement  of the validity of the data provided as well as statement confirming that he became acquainted with the conditions to be met in order to keep the status of the job seeker. The forgoing statement has to be made under the penalties of perjury and in the presence of the labour office employee.

Full online registration at the district labour office

Registration as a jobseeker via the electronic registration system can be done at: www.praca.gov.pl

Registering  online at the labour office as a jobseeker is available if you have either:
•    a secure electronic signature verified by a valid qualified certificate, in accordance with the principles laid down in the regulations on electronic signatures, or
•    verified trusted profile on government services electronic platform (ePUAP).

In order to register the person is obliged to fill in the online application for registration, accessible at: www.praca.gov.pl. The required documents need to be scanned, and the application needs to be signed with one of the above secure signature types.

Online registration aims to save time the jobseekers usually spend queuing at the labour office as well as money they spend on commuting there.

The status of the jobseeker is given on the day the person fills in the online application, adds all required scanned documents including the statement of data veracity (the ID scan is not required) and confirms knowledge of conditions for maintaining the jobseeker`s status signing the application with one of the certified signatures.

 

Useful information

All the information on verified trusted profile on government services platform is available at: epuap.gov.pl

You cannot be given the jobseeker`s status at the labour office where you are registered as the unemployed.
