Supervision and financing

Who controls crèches, daycare workers and local children’s clubs?

Crèches, daycare providers and local children’s clubs are under supervision of village administrators, mayors and city presidents appropriate to the address of the place where those activities are conducted.

The control is held by people authorized by village administrators, mayors or city presidents respectively.

Are there any charges connected with childcare?

The following fees are charged:

  • for a child’s stay,
  • for extra hours,
  • for board.

The charges are determined by an entity that established a crèche or a local children club, or signed a contract with a daycare worker.

If it is a commune that conducts the childcare, the charges are determined by the commune council resolution. In this case, the charges are paid by parents to the commune. The council, by resolution, may determine the partial or total exemption from charges.
