Refund of a part of the costs of the remuneration, bonuses and contributions for employees under 30

This article is written according to the legal status current as of: 2016-08-26

What is it?

Refund of a part of the costs of the remuneration, bonuses and contributions is a kind of financial support aimed at employers who employ a designated by the labour office unemployed person under 30 years of age, who has their profile established and that form of support is included in their individual action plan.

Why is it worth applying for?

If you decide to employ a designated unemployed person under 30 years of age, you will receive the refund of part of the costs borne on remuneration, bonuses and social insurance contributions for the period of up to 12 months in the amount indicated in the contract, signed with the district labour office.

How long must a designated person be employed?

Employers are obliged to employ a designated unemployed person on full-time basis for the subsidized period indicated in the contract and – additionally – for another 12 months after the subsidized period.

Who cannot be granted the refund?

Refund of a part of the costs of the remuneration, bonuses and contributions for employees under 30 cannot be granted employers who during the period of six months preceding the day of submitting the application conducted a reduction of employment due to reasons relating to the employer.

Useful information

If you terminate the contract of employment during the subsidized period or fail to maintain the employment for 12 months after the subsidized period, you will be obliged to return the refund in the amount proportional to the employment period specified in the contract together with the statutory interest calculated from the day of receiving it within 30 days of receiving a notice.

If the contract of employment is terminated without notice due to the employee’s fault (the so-called disciplinary dismissal) or if the contract expires during the subsidized period or during the required period after the subsidized period, the competent labour office designates another unemployed person to fill the vacancy.

In case the labour office is unable to designate another unemployed person to fill the vacancy, the employer is not obliged to return the received support for the period, the previously employed designated person had been employed.

The refund is granted under the terms of the admissibility of de minimis aid.
