Special protection

If you are on the maternity leave, or parental leave you are embraced with a special protection against dismissal. An employer cannot dismiss you or terminate the contract with you, or make termination amending the contract of employment during your being at all the above-mentioned leaves.

Exceptions:

  • bankruptcy or liquidation of the workplace,
  • termination without notice of your fault provided that the trade union's consent was given
  • special rules for the termination of employment for reasons not related with workers (it is determined by the so-called law on collective redundancies).

Remember!

If your company is not under bankruptcy or liquidation, the employer has no right to dismiss you from work during your maternity leave and parental leave!
