Who is a disabled person?
The disabled – people whose physical, psychological or mental condition permanently or temporarily impedes, limits or makes it impossible to fulfill social roles and, in particular, impairs capabilities to carry out a professional activity, provided that they have obtained an appropriate medical certificate.
There are three levels of disability:
- severe level of disability (first group)
- moderate level of disability (second group)
- mild level of disability (third group).
If you want to obtain a medical certificate indicating the level of disability, you should apply to an appropriate medical commission.
Those commissions are:
- District Disability Evaluation Board and
- Province Disability Evaluation Board (the second appeal instance).
