Intervention works - Artykul

The term "intervention works" refers to employing an unemployed person as a result of a contract concluded by the employer with a district labour office, aimed at supporting people whose situation on the labour market is special.

You may perform intervention works in any kind of job, both physical and mental one.

Who is eligible for intervention works?

Whether the labour office grants you this kind of support or not depends on type of profile established for you during an interview when a client advisor analyses your situation and chances on the labour market.

How long can intervention works last?

The period of your employment in intervention works may last from 6 to 18 months or - if you are an unemployed person over 50 - from 6 months to 4 years.

Additionally, the employer is obliged to employ you for another 3 months if the subsidized period lasted 6 months, and 6 months if the subsidized period lasted 12 months or longer. 

What should you do if you want to be employed in intervention works?

If you are interested in intervention works, you can ask about vacancies in your district labour office or find an employer on your own. However, it is the employer who applies for this kind of financial support, not you. The decision whether you will be employed in intervention works or not depends mostly on the funds, but also on the profile of support and individual action plan established for you.

If you are employed in intervention works:

• the minimum remuneration for work is guaranteed to you by law (see the current rates),
• it means that you have a contract of employment,
• you have right to sick leave, annual leave, childcare leave, etc.,
• you and your employer are subject to the provisions of the Labour Code.
