A scholarship for education continuation

What is a scholarship for continuing education?
It is a labour market instrument whose purpose is to support the unemployed who decide to continue education in order to improve their vocational qualifications.
Who is eligible for this scholarship?
You can receive the scholarship if:
- you are an unemployed person without any vocational qualifications who starts education at a post lower secondary school for adults or extramural studies or within 12 months of the day of registration in the district labour office,
- you are a person whose income does not exceed 528 zł per person or – if you are in a one-person household – 701 zł.
How long can you receive the scholarship?
The scholarship may be paid out for the period of 12 months. However, in certain cases the district labour office may decide to continue paying out the scholarship until the completion of education according to the education program.
What should you do in order to receive the scholarship?
If you would like to receive a scholarship for continuing education you should apply for it to the competent district labour office.
Why is it worth applying for?
You will receive a scholarship equal to 100% of the unemployment benefit. If you undertake employment your scholarship will be decreased to 20% of the said benefit. The lowered scholarship will be paid out from the last day of the month during which you undertook employment.
Useful information
- The scholarship will be paid out after presenting a document issued by a school to confirm that education is continued.
- The scholarship stops being paid out if the person interrupts education or losses the status of an unemployed person.
