What is the Activation and Integration Programme?
The Activation and Integration Programme is comprised of actions concerned with activation and social integration of the unemployed conducted by the labour office independently or in cooperation with social welfare centres.
Who may be assigned to the Activation and Integration Programme?
The Activation and Integration Programme is aimed at the unemployed who receive social welfare benefits, particularly those who fulfill a social contract referred to in the regulations concerned with social assistance.
Who organises the Activation and Integration Programme?
After appraising by the labour market district council, the programme is implemented by:
- the district labour office – as regards activation of the unemployed through socially useful works;
- social welfare centres or entities conducting statutory activities concerning social and vocational integration and reintegration of persons at risk of social exclusion or counteracting addictions and social pathologies, in accordance with regulations on public benefit activities and volunteer work – as regards social integration of the unemployed.
Activities concerned with social integration of the unemployed, aimed at developing active attitude in social and professional life, might be conducted through the use of training workshops and support groups of at least 10 hours per week.
How long does it last?
The Activation and Integration Programme lasts 2 months.
Useful information
After completion of the Activation and Integration the district labour office may:
- decide to assign the unemployed person to the Programme again, for the period not longer than 6 months;
- assign the unemployed person to undertake subsidized employment in a workplace or to undertake employment in a social cooperative established by legal entities or – in justified cases – vocational counseling.
During the participation in the Activation and Integration Programme an unemployed person cannot participate in other kinds of support.
